This is a post from an earlier blog I kept when I was in Iraq.

I am in Germany I just wanted to say hi. A lot of people’s cell phones work here but I doubt that anyone would pay $4/min. to use ’em. I really miss home already, I am sure I wouldn’t feel like this if I were on vacation but due to the circumstances of my departure, it’s pretty much what it is… I’m not that excited.

Anyhow, I wanted to let you know I am safe and that my plane didn’t fall out of the sky or anything yet. They ain’t got no wireless internet here so I am unable to stay on long. It’s already 2:30 PM here so I guess it is 8:30 AM there. (I’m not sure.)
